ORDERING & PAYING Before ordering
I need a handmade design for a particular time - what should I do?
If you find a handmade design you want but need it soon for a particular time, then please fill out the enquiry form or email Emily (contact@emilylouise.co.uk), specifying the design and choice options (e.g. crystal colour) of the item you are interested in and when you need it by, and Emily will let you know whether or not she can do it in time.
I want to buy a ready-to-wear item - do I need to check if it's in stock first?
Yes, please use the enquiry form or email Emily (contact@emilylouise.co.uk) to check if a ready-to-wear product is still available, as it might have sold out before the website is able to be updated.
Is it possible for you to alter one of your designs to meet my requirements?
Usually Emily is able to amend a design to fit your specifications, happily. However, it does all depend on what you would like to be altered, as some alterations may not be possible. But please do contact Emily (contact@emilylouise.co.uk) to see if what you would like can be done.
Ordering
How do I order?
It’s very easy – simply add any items you wish to buy to your PayPal shopping basket by clicking the ‘Add to basket’ button by each item you want, making sure you choose the right options. Please specify any extra details in the notes section when you pay. You will be shown a confirmation page of what you have just chosen to purchase. You can review the items you have selected at anytime by clicking on ‘View basket’ at the very bottom of the page, and remove or amend any if you need to. When you’re ready to pay, go to your shopping basket and carefully check that you have chosen exactly what you want, and then click ‘Proceed to checkout’.
Paying
How do I pay? Is it safe?
Paying is done through PayPal – it is by far one of easiest, safest and most secure methods of online payment. You can pay either through your PayPal account if you have one, or by using your credit or debit card (all major cards accepted) if you don’t have a PayPal account. Neither Emily nor anyone else will be able to see your card details, and your personal details will only be used for ordering & delivery purposes, and will not be passed onto any third parties.
Can I pay by cheque?
Yes you can place your order and pay for it via cheque. Please contact Emily (contact@emilylouise.co.uk) with your order details and state that you would like to pay with a cheque. Orders paid for by cheque will be processed as soon as payment has cleared.
How much is postage & packaging?

The postage cost is listed by each product. Typically, these costs are:
Tiaras: £3.20
Headbands: £2.60
Necklaces: £2.80
Bracelets: £2.30
Small items (e.g. earrings): £1.40
Jewellery sets: £2.90
Cake toppers: £3.20
Mostly all items or orders are sent 1st class recorded delivery. Low-value items or orders are sent via normal 1st class.
Tiaras are packaged in a white presentation box and wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. Bridesmaid headbands are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper. Bracelets, necklaces, jewellery sets, large hair combs, and hair comb sets are packaged in presentation boxes. Earrings, hair pins, small hair combs (not sets) and Sweetheart Pendants/Chains come in drawstring organza bags.
Delivery
How long will my order take to be made and/or delivered?
Ready-to-wear products will be able to be sent as soon as your order has been confirmed, so it should arrive in the next few days. Handmade tiaras and jewellery are made to order so, depending on the design, they can take from a few days up to a month to make – Emily will let you know an estimated timeframe and will notify you as soon as it’s ready for dispatching. Once delivered, they should take between 1-2 working days to arrive.
After ordering
What do I need to do after I’ve made an order?
After you have placed you order, Emily will email you with an order confirmation before starting on it, to make sure that you have chosen the exact items and choices you wanted. Please reply to change any incorrect details.
Can I make an amendment or cancellation if I change my mind after ordering?
Unfortunately you cannot make a cancellation after you have paid for an order. Please check very carefully that the details and choices of the item are what you want before committing to buy it. Remember, when buying goods on the Internet you are entering into a legally binding contract. However, if you have made a choice mistake (such as wrong colour of crystal on tiara) and wish to amend it, providing that it will not change the cost of the item, then please inform Emily by email as soon as possible and she will change it for you.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied with my product when it arrives?
Refunds will only be given if you have bought an item by accident that is no longer available, or if items received are unsatisfactory, which does not include it being inappropriate due to style, colour or design. Please notify Emily by email (contact@emilylouise.co.uk) within 24 hours of receipt if you wish to return the item(s), and they must be returned in their original packaging, original condition, and within 7 days of you receiving them. Refunds will be issued only once Emily has received the returned item(s) in their original condition (or condition you received them in), which means that a refund cannot be issued if they get lost in the post - so you may want to use recorded or special delivery. Refunds will exclude any postage costs. Please note that due to hygiene reasons, no earrings can be refunded or exchanged.
